Goods & Products

Originally established as a stall in Limsa Lominsa, selling potions and trinkets and treasures from her family's adventures, Nadya Ambrose built up her business and connections, eventually owning a small shop in Mist. In recent years, it upgraded into a larger establishment, and the range of goods has grown exponentially. One will find as soon as they walk in the door, that there is a lot to look at, goods of all kinds, from treasures and relics to toys and trinkets to herbs and potions. A better question would be what can't you find or order? Everything that an adventurer or Free Company might need can be found either within, or ordered through the store. There are few restrictions on just what one can acquire. For those things that are considered especially dangerous, a background check will be made. There are items that are not advertised as available for the general public as well, but could be organised for someone depending on the result of their check.Attempted theft results in consequences.
Trinkets & Treasures: from toys to jewelery to instruments, from near and far, there is something for everyone whether looking for a gift for someone, or something strangely specific.
Rare Items & Relics: connections with adventurers leads to opportunities to acquire rarer goods that are hard to find.
Tomes, Books & Scrolls: The extensive library holds books for just about anything and everything - and rumour is that the collection is much bigger than what's displayed.
Potions, Tinctures & Poultices: Nadya is known for her alchemic and apothecary skill, and can brew something for just about anything.
Weapons & Armor: Commissioned artisans can be organised through the store for adventuring needs.
Enchantments & Enchanted Items: in need of a specific charm? Ask within and one of the local witches can help.
Custom orders: Feel free to ask if something specific can be crafted or acquired.

About Ambrosia & Rules
Ambrosia is the name of the ward which protects all within the premises of the Emporium, this includes the outside yard, up to the fenceline. To those sensitive to Aether, it would be felt when they step onto the property, and not only that but they would perhaps feel as though they are being watched. They are.Ambrosia is an ancient ward, and is sentient to a degree. It obeys the members of the Ambrose family, and those that they induct as family. Ambrosia ensures that there is no violence or malevolent activity on the property. This is primarily because children reside and study there, and secondarily because there are a lot of expensive and irreplaceable articles within the premesis. This means that if someone attempts to steal, to break into off limits areas, or to cause harm, they will be kicked from the property. Where they end up will depend on what they attempt to do.Attempt to steal: Sent to Maelstrom with a automated message sent to the on duty guard.
Attempt to break into places: Popped outside the gate to the Emporium's plot, and will not be able to re-enter.
Attempt to cause harm: This will vary on a scale of how severe/threatening the danger is, from being popped outside the gate, to popped out into the bay water near the end of the pier to cool off, or sent to Maelstrom with an automated message sent.Ambrosia has been known to ignore this function if an action is not malicious in nature (eg: part of a game and doesn't actually cause any harm).Additionally, one cannot teleport directly into or out of the building itself.Off-limits areas:
- The corner of the Librarynth where there is a hidden section. If the metal doors are closed, is it not accessible or even able to be seen (ignore the opening doors of the bookshelf partition).
- The area in the back of the study. Unless someone is accompanied there by staff in order to use the portals, then this is off limits (same as library corner).
- Nadya's apartment. Unless invited, no one is to enter without permission.Social Rules:
OOC:
- Respect each other
- No gaslighting or bigot behaviour
- IC does not equal OOC, please don't take character conflict as personal
- No means no, respect it
- No sexual content in open areas, the Emporium provides services, but not those services
- Abide by the rules of Ambrosia, the ward can't be worked around, troublemakers will be caught
- Respect staff and coordinators. If someone is busy, please be patientIC:
- No stealing, no violence, no hostile pressure, this will be dealt with via Ambrosia
- Do not bring danger to the door, Nadya has zero tolerance for anything that will place her children in danger
- Enjoy the facilities, but also respect the facilities, vandalism and property damage will result in expense
- Do not hassle or verbally abuse the staff, they are providing a service, they are not your servant
Aeternum Covenant
The Aeternum Covenant is near unheard of, known only to those who become trusted enough to be brought in. The goal is rather simple: the preversation of knowledge, the search for lost truths and histories, and the sharing of secrets regarding existence, unexplained phenomena and mysterious anomalies, as well as exploring possibilities. It is an old faction, one that almost died out a number of times over the eons, but somehow still exists. To pledge oneself is irrevokable. The only exit is one's end by erasure of memories of one's involvement within it or erasure of life.(But OOCly, it's just a casual FC which I set up for funsies and those who want to hang out in a chill place and enjoy working with the Emporium. If folks want to get into the mystical stuff then their character has to earn the trust of the Ambrose family. Note: You do not have to be in the FC.)

Character Looking for work ICly?
There are plenty of potential jobs available around the Emporium. From assisting in the shop, to the library, to the cafe, and even working or assisting in the clinic/infirmary. Security work, and also individual crafters who may like to have a space where they can do their work and sell their wares through the Emporium! Escorts and couriers are also welcome to apply or assist. (Please note: one does not need to be a member of the FC in order to work at/for the Emporium). For the sake of venue nights, there are certainly opportunities for people who would like to attend to patrons. There will also be a levemete system set up some time in the future, where people may be able to post up their own leves and mini plots that others can sign up for.
The Librarynth & Study
The Emporium has a rather extensive and eclectic library, filled with books and tomes of all kinds. From romance adventures (found in the scholastic bookcase by the desk), to information on ancient history, to books that talk about things that doesn't even seem to be of this world. Books may be rented out for a small fee, or copies can be purchased (and translated for an extra fee). If there is a particular area of study that one is searching for, the staff will see what they have, and will attempt to locate the relevent information that a customer is searching for.
The Study & Portals
The Study can be found in one of the suites that can be accessed via the back corridors. Desks are provided, as well as an area for children to read and play (an automaton babysitter can be provided if need be). Another feature within the study, known only to those who inquire, are the portals in the very back.Ambrosia Emporium provides a transport that does not require the use of one's Aether, it is simply a matter of stepping through a door that leads to another location. This is a premium service, and does not come cheap. These portals can be linked to almost any location on the Star, and a way back can also be provided through communication with the family who own the store. Nikita is also able to set up a personal portal for someone in their home for a rather steep but fair price. This personal portal will only be set to go to one location and back.
The Basement Cafe
The kitchen is available to guests at all hours, and serves customers during opening hours.
Menu varies day to day, ask the staff what the daily specials are!(No defined prices, no OOC payment required, tips are always appreciated but not necessary!)
